Childhood friends hold a special place in your heart. Growing up with Alan on Batavia Avenue gave us many great memories. We always had some activity going on. Fast pitch tennis ball, Nerf football in the street, bike racing, snowball fights, king on the mountain, flashlight tag, swimming and an occasional brawl made our childhood the best ever. Alan was one of the most genuine people I was fortunate to know. Always brutally honest and you always knew where you stood. As we grew older and all went in our separate directions, I admire the man than Alan had become. A wonderful, husband, father, son, and recently grandfather. I am shocked and saddened by the loss of Alan to all his family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. God speed.
