To say Gary and I were close might be an unfair description of our relationship to some. We certainly had a common understanding that we were here for each other, though Gary would never ask for help.
I believe Gary gave lift off to State Farm’s marketing slogan. Over the past 16years we crossed paths with drive-by waves, home project sideline talks, and driveway chats about family and politics. “whatcha working on today” he’d say, followed by, “ If you ever need any tools don’t hesitate to ask”.
Gary helped me humanely trap wood chucks, charge dead car batteries, and made it his job to snow blow the end of the driveway especially when he noticed my absence.
It’s easy to see that kindness and generosity came natural to him. The Frawley Drive neighborhood, my family, and I will miss him tremendously. Our prayers go out to Jeff, Matt, Kami, and their families.
