Obituary of Eric M. Longley

Eric M. Longley, 39, of Martville, passed away at home Friday, September 18, 2020. He was born September 14, 1981 in Redlands, California and resided most of his life in Martville. Eric had a talent of being able to fix anything with a motor. He wanted to pass on that skill to his son Travis “Bo” and was teaching him how to change a transmission and to work on vehicles. His work experience also included working for Lakeshore Paving Blacktop and Sealcoating and Heath Combs Blacktop and Paving. Eric enjoyed spending time with his children and was always there for his daughter’s dance recitals and sporting events. Going to Monster Jam, the beach, having cookouts and driving lot cars all included time with his children. Eric was known for helping people in need, especially repairing their vehicles. Eric is survived by his children, Jaylyn Longley and Travis “Bo” Longley; his longtime companion, Kara Chrisman of Martville; his mother, Joanne Longley of Florida; his brother, David LeVea of Syracuse and by his grandmother, Joan Longley of Martville. He was predeceased by his father, David "Mike" LeVea; his brother, Michael LeVea; his grandfather “Pa” Ronald Longley and by a cousin, Ashlee Longley. Calling hours are 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Brown Funeral Home, 21 Flood Drive in Fulton. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral following the calling hours. Covid restrictions will be in effect.
