Obituary of James F. Ducker
James F. Ducker, 69, of Hannibal, formerly of Fulton passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024. Jim was born May 1, 1955 in Fulton to James R. Ducker and Beverly P. Meeker. He was a graduate of John C. Birdlebough High School in Phoenix. Shortly after graduation Jim enlisted into the U.S. Army and served his country until his Honorable Discharge in 1977. He was employed at Birds Eye Foods in Fulton for 23 years until their closing in 2012. In his younger years, Jim enjoyed camping in the Adirondacks and fishing. Most recently he spent his time traveling, writing, discussing politics, listening to Blues music and practicing his faith as a member of the River of Life Assembly of God.
James is survived by his wife of eight years, Veronica “Roni” Ducker of Hannibal; his daughter, Melissa (Ben) Pierce of Canton; his step-children, Rob Brand of Fulton, Cassondra Miner of Temple, TX, Charles Miner of Temple, TX and Stephanie (Thomas) Whitney of Hannibal; eight grandchildren; one niece and two nephews. Jim was predeceased by his daughters, Jessica Ducker in 1979 and Jamie Lee Ducker in 2016; his father, James R. Ducker; his mother, Beverly P. Meeker Stauring in 2011; his step-father, William Stauring in 2011 and by his brother, William W. Stauring in 2014.
