Our family has known Doug for many years as he maintained our Fulton dermatology office and took great care of it as our landlord. He was a very smart, personable, and knowledgable person. We had great conversations with him about travels, and he was very interesting to speak with always, and had a wealth of knowledge about many different topics. He very much loved Lebanese baklava which we used to bring back for him from Lebanon. We regret that we did not know of his passing back in April and have just found out. We keep the family in our prayers, and think of you in particular, Linda, his wonderful, dedicated wife. Much love to you all from the Farah family.

My heartfelt sympathies to Linda and family in Doug's passing. He was a driving force in CNY Arts Center. He opened doors, encouraged us, and made things happen. He was gracious to my family as well. We have the utmost respect and gratitude to Doug and Linda both. Doug, you will be missed! My heart and prayers to all.

So sorry to hear about Doug's passing. Very sad news. He was one of the first people I met when I moved to Central New York to work for the Post-Standard. My office was on the second floor of his building at Canalview Mall in Fulton. He and his travel business had the whole first floor. I used to see him all the time. He was always a true gentleman. Very nice, helpful, very friendly. Later we served on a board of directors together. Just the other day I was asking about Doug. Rest in piece my friend!

Linda and family, Sandy and I are in AZ, but will be with you in spirit and prayer during Doug’s services. We always held cousin Doug in our highest regard as he always reached for the best in everything he did. He also helped others reach for their best as they grew in their lives. We shared a common love of horses in our youth and in aviation in our more mature years and although we were not physically close Doug was often in our thoughts.

Heartfelt condolences to Linda, Ryan, John & Shaun and family. For over 30 yrs, he was my boss, friend & mentor. When life turned a page, we remained friends and would share yearly Birthday wishes. Thank you for always being there for me over the years. May you rest in peace Doug.

Doug & I met as freshmen at Kansas State. We struck up an unlikely, lifelong friendship for a boy from upstate New York & a farm boy from Southwest Kansas. We remained roommates, along with two others, for the remaining 4 years at K-State. Doug was a creative guy who tore down the engine to his 1954 MGTF & put it back together in the living room of our apartment. We shared a love of aviation & took several memorable flights together. I loved Doug like a brother. He'll be missed!!

I lived with doug at our trailer at the property of vet Dr. Presley Fulton, 1973. He drove a 67 Corvette, interested in physics and so to learn about his pilot license is no surprise. We went to grade school together in Fulton, thus I have fond memories of our time together. RIP my long time ago roommate and friend.

Doug was Mr. Fulton. He cared about the people living here & how he could improve their quality of life. If I needed anything (and I always did), his door was always open. He always said to me “what do you need Jan”. Linda & Doug were our good friends as well & we will miss him very much. He left his mark in Fulton & I know he will be remembered with love. Rest in Peace our friend.
